Cyber security is the discipline that protects digital information, systems, and networks from unauthorized access, damage, and disruption. This research paper aims to explore the fundamentals of cyber security, various types of cyber-attacks, security techniques, and future trends. It emphasizes the importance of the CIA triad—Confidentiality, Integrity, and Availability—along with real-world incidents that highlight vulnerabilities in digital infrastructure. The paper also examines tools, methodologies, and advanced technologies such as Artificial Intelligence (AI), Blockchain, and Quantum Computing that can strengthen global cyber defense systems. The goal is to create awareness and outline a path toward a more secure digital future.
