Abstract: The velocity of the vehicle is calculated using the video frames that are captured from the video taken from a digital camera which is fixed on the road. Three techniques are implemented and compared. First technique is based on normalized cross correlation approach. Second technique is based on frame differencing approach and the third technique is based on optical flow.
