Abstract: We propose in this paper a new document representation in Text Mining based on signal representation and spectral processing by Wavelets Transform. Our method gives a solution of syntactic and semantic descriptor dependency problem, without deleting information. This can be done by grouping dependent descriptors in clusters with a single representative. Thereafter each class is represented by a discrete signal giving different degrees of dependence between descriptors, we then take advantage of the Multi Resolution Analysis properties of the Wavelet Transform. We show that we are able to achieve higher precision when compared to Vector Space Model representation and Latent Semantic Analysis in the context of Arabic Text Classification.

Abstract: Text clustering can greatly simplify browsing large collections of documents by reorganizing them into a smaller number of patterns in text documents manageable clusters. Text clustering is mainly used for a document clustering system which clusters the set of documents based on the user typed key term. Here we proposed a hybrid model which works on reduced dimensional dataset and similarity constraints. Feature based analysis is used for reducing dimension of huge dataset. We use the feature evaluation to reduce the dimensionality of high-dimensional text vector. The system then identifies the term frequency and then those frequencies are weighted by using the inverted document frequency method. Then this weight of documents is used for clustering. Feature clustering is a powerful method to reduce the dimensionality of feature vectors for text classification. This model will significantly improve the result of pattern discovery in text mining.

Analysis and Prevention of effects of gray hole attacks on Routing Protocol in Mobile Ad-hoc Networks
BHIMSINGH BOHARA,VARUN SHARMA Research Scholar, Computer Science, Amity University, Jaipur, India Research Scholar, Computer Science, Amity University, Jaipur, India
Abstract: Mobile Ad hoc Networks also abbreviated as MANETs, are infrastructure less wireless networks which are characterized by dynamic topologies. MANET is made up of autonomous collection of users that are continuously on the move, over bandwidth constrained wireless links. Gray hole attack is an active kind of attack on adhoc networks where the attacking node first forwards packets and then later on drops the packets resulting in Denial of Service (DoS). As MANET being a network without any central administration, is vulnerable to such kind of attacks and network can be easily crippled by such malicious nodes. Therefore various kinds of security mechanisms are applied to protect networks from harm. Intrusion Detection Systems (IDs) are one of the solution which help in detecting the misbehaving node as well as notifies other nodes in networks of the misbehaving node. The main aim of security systems is to provide services like Authentication, Accountability, Integrity, Anonymity and Confidentiality. In this paper we have used AODV routing Protocol for route discovery. When malicious node starts dropping packets we use Intrusion Detection scheme to report violation of policy and the nodes whose packets are dropped again try to establish new paths using Route Requests (RREQ) messages. In our paper the NS2 scenario shows that the throughput is improved than traditional gray hole attacks.

Abstract: Steganography has become one of the most fascinating research areas in recent years. Steganography is a kind of data hiding technique that provides another way of security protection for digital image data. It is usually applied in various digital media types such as image, video, and audio at present. We present a new image sharing method based on Shamir’s (t, n) threshold scheme. In this paper we are considering two color images , one as cover image and other as secret image. Secret image is hidden in cover image. Quantization process is applied to improve the quality of the cover image .In (t, n) threshold scheme, where a dealer encrypts and divide the secret into n number of shadows. The dealer then distributes the shadows to the authorized participants. Any t out of n, authorized participants can cooperate to reveal the secret data with their corresponding shadows. Single individual participants share is of no use. Peak signal to noise ratio is applied to analyze the quality of the stego images. The simulation results show that the secret and cover are reconstructed without loss.
A Comparative Study on Low Energy Optimization Techniques in WSN

Abstract: Sensor networks are mostly distributed over a large area which may sometimes be harsh and uneven. Therefor the system must be tolerant to faults raised by the environment and also other intermittent problems. Therefore it is very important that the sensed values and readings of each and every sensor node must be accurate and reliable. Therefore, for the purpose of validation, various online and offline methods are used. ATE is a hardware test used to test the readings. But ATE capabilities can’t match the test requirements in terms of volume and speed. BIST is a test embedded within the system itself. But it has certain disadvantages like hardware and area overhead and also elevated power dissipation. Therefore SBST plays an important role in testing the sensor node. The SBST routines are used for this purpose. They can either be downloaded to the nodes or they may be available in the flash memory also. Various optimization methodologies have been discussed in the paper.

Abstract: Reduction of Quality (ROQ, pronounced as Rock attack) of attacks is a new category of attacks that target the adaptation mechanisms of the current internet systems. Unlike its ancestral Denial of Service Attacks these attacks don’t aim to completely shut down the services of a server or a network, instead these aim to depreciate the Quality of the targeted network(s). The main objective of these attacks is to degrade the Quality of the systems, due to this reason they are also termed as low rate DDOS or DOS or shrew attacks. The users of the system experience a considerably degraded response from the network. These attacks are orchestrated while keeping a low profile, to evade the current detection systems and hence are more difficult to detect, yet they cause a serious damage to the system. This paper aims to look into the current research in the field and what all techniques have been discussed so far to mitigate the impact of this attack on the current internet systems.

Abstract: Data mining, or knowledge discovery, is the computer-assisted process of analyzing voluminous sets of data and then discovering the meaning of the data. Data Warehouse is a subject-oriented, time variant, integrated, non volatile collection of data to assist management in the decision making process Data mining tools predict behaviours and future trends, allowing businesses to make proactive, knowledge-driven decisions. Data mining tools can answer business questions that traditionally were very time consuming to resolve. They evaluate databases for hidden patterns, finding predictive information that experts may miss because it lies outside their expectations. This paper also shows the architecture of data mining system. Generally, Data mining tasks can be classified into two main categories namely descriptive and predictive. Descriptive Mining tasks characterize the general properties of data in the database while Predictive Mining tasks inference on the current data to make predictions. Class Description and Associations are the activities under descriptive mining and Regression and cluster analysis are the tasks under predictive mining. Data mining systems must be able to discover patterns at various levels of abstraction. Data mining systems also facilitates users to provide certain hints to guide the search for required patterns.

Abstract: This paper present a system which can efficiently detect fire after the image of the area has been captured by a camera. Fire has destructive properties which cannot be tolerated in any work areas. Fire is the rapid oxidation of a material in the exothermic chemical process of combustion, releasing heat and light. The light parameter and color of flame helps in detecting fire. The system first detects smoke and then fire. When smoke is present in the area it displays a message on the Security terminal. When a fire breaks in the area under consideration, the corresponding fire region in the input video frame will be segmented which covers the fire. If the area of the flame increases in the subsequent frames then an alarm i s sounded.

Abstract: In this paper; a new Function Point Analysis model has been proposed. In this proposed model, a new general system characteristic is added. The expert user programming also affects the size of software. By including it in the list of general system characteristics, it creates a provision for taking end user facilities into account, while estimating the size of a project. It is clear that proposed FPA provides more accurate size estimates and it will narrow the gap between size estimated and actual size. This will result in more accurate effort and cost estimates, which ultimately results in increased productivity and proper staffing, planning and scheduling.

A Methodical Approach for the Construction of 64-QAM Golay Complementary Sequences Having Low Peak-To-Average Power Ratio
RASMEET KOUR, DR. AMANDEEP SINGH SAPPAL Dept. of Electronics & Communication, Punjabi University, Patiala
Abstract: This paper interprets the reduction of peak-to-average power ratio (PAPR) of 64-quadrature amplitude modulation (QAM) signals in the most promising technique of high speed parallel data transmission, well-known as orthogonal frequency division multiplexing (OFDM). As one of the major impediments to deploying OFDM is the high PAPR of the uncoded OFDM signals, so the Golay complementary sequences are used to construct 64-QAM OFDM sequences to provide low PAPR. It has been explicated that a 64-QAM constellation can be written as the vector sum of three QPSK constellations respectively. Further it has been investigated that by using these sequences, PAPR is bounded above by6.69dB.

Abstract: Fetal electrocardiogram (Fetal ECG) extraction is an interesting as well as a difficult problem in signal processing. The original FECG signal is nevertheless very complex and severely contaminated by external disturbances or noises. Identification of these cases during early pregnancy reduces risks by timely treatment or planned delivery. The non- invasive Fetal ECG (FECG) monitoring by means of abdominal surface electrodes provides valuable information about the cardiac electrical activity of fetus. It is very hard, even not impossible, to reliably extract the FECG from the abdominal signal using traditional techniques. The object of our work is to remove the noises in signals which are occurred due to power line interference, movement of patient etc. The extraction of fetal ECG is founded by Adaptive Noise Canceller, Principal Component Analysis, and Independent Component Analysis method. The procedure is applied to real multi- channel ECG recordings obtained from a pregnant woman. The experimental outcome demonstrates the more robust performance of the blind technique in this important biomedical application. After investigation of the results the ICA approach, proposed by us, has been shown to be superior for the extraction of fetal ECG compared to other methods. We using graphical user interface (GUI) which is a graphical display that enable a user to perform interactive tasks.

Abstract: Prediction system is one of the major research area under data mining. It is useful to perform the necessary action on time so that the future loss can be minimized. In this paper, we have defined a prediction system to identify the chances of occurrence of coronary heart disease based on person’s basic information, symptoms as well as medical tests. The medical disease prediction system is an application of expert system, that we here define by using an intelligent soft- computing approach called neuro-fuzzy. In this paper, we have defined a two layered approach for identifying the disease possibility. The critical factors that are mandatory for occurrence of coronary heart disease are taken at first level and the rest one are taken at second level. This two level approach increases the performance of our work as it helps in predicting disease chances accurately. The heart disease dataset is taken from UCI machine learning repository to train the neural network and then fuzzy rules are applied to predict the chances of coronary heart disease as low, medium or critical.

Abstract: OFDM is a powerful multicarrier transmission technique used extensively for wireless applications. High PAPR is one of the deleterious problems of OFDM. This paper reviews basic OFDM system and PAPR problem associated with it. Also, the construction of M-QAM particularly 16-QAM sequences using QPSK Golay sequences over 4 is conferred. It is elucidated that a 16-QAM constellation can be written as the vector sum of two QPSK constellations respectively. Abstract: Cloud Computing is evolving as a key computing platform for sharing resources that include infrastructures, software, applications, and business processes. Virtualization is widely used in the cloud computing, it is a core technology for enabling cloud resource sharing. Virtualization is used to virtualize a single instance to the multiple instances. However, most existing Cloud Computing platforms have not formally adopted the service-oriented architecture (SOA) that would make them more flexible, extensible, and reusable. This paper discusses the concept of cloud computing in single tenant and multitenant environment. Three layered architecture is very useful to understand the overall concept of cloud computing. Multitenant applications are very useful for the increased utilization of hardware resources and improved ease of maintenance. All these benefits of multitenancy shoud result in lower application coasts and give the major benefit to small and medium enterprises (SME). The main focus on this paper is to describe the overall concept of cloud computing to the multitenant application.

Abstract: Wireless technologies offer significant benefits over wired, such as including low installation cost, rapid deployment, and mobility and so on. Wireless technologies are suitable for remote end applications. It is a challenging task to successfully transmit an image to the receiver with a very low bit error rate (BER) because of the presence of the noise in wireless channels. According to the user needs such as requirement of smaller bandwidth, high data rates, the wireless communication has undergone through the significant developments. In order to overcome the limitations of current technologies such as the presence of Inter Symbol Interference (ISI), multipath fading, availability of scarce resources, use of more efficient wireless systems is necessary. WiMAX is the most promising and upcoming 4G wireless transmission technologies that fulfil the user needs. Application of concatenated Reed Solomon-Low density Parity Check (RS-LDPC) codes with the WiMAX system ensures the reliability and efficiency of the system. This paper analyses the WiMAX system performance under various channel scenarios (Additive White Gaussian Noise (AWGN), Rayleigh and Rician fading channels) by applying concatenated RS-LDPC coding technique. The performance is evaluated by calculating the BER for different values of Signal to Noise Ratio (SNR).

Abstract: Today Component Based Software Engineering (CBSE) is more generalized approach for software development. Component based software systems are developed from build in components or third party components. Hence the quality of system depends on the quality of involved components. To ensure the quality of component based system testing is necessary. In this paper we discuss component based software engineering and some testing techniques. We notice that third party components include only specification or we can say that black box components. Due to black box nature of components source codes are not available then to test the black box component is a very difficult task. That’s why several testing techniques have been proposed by several authors for testing the component based systems. Some of them are discussed by us in this paper.

Abstract: The recharging system of a mobile robot must guarantee the ability to perform its tasks continuously without human intervention. Since mobile robots are powered by rechargeable batteries, their energy and operating times are limited. Limited onboard power supplies significantly hamper long term autonomous mobile robot operation, particularly when working with swarm-sized populations. In this paper an efficient wireless power transfer system by running the vhdl code, that heats an IC which get converted by nano wires that observes the heat and produces the electricity. The prototype consists of a power surface that provides power to an initial evaluation test robot consuming 350mW. An investigation on power transmission between a IC and nano wires has carried out depending upon the material used. The power received is evaluated by the amount of heat that gets converted as electricity. Since Pyroelectricity is one of the form to generate the temporary voltage. Whether it is for business purposes or personal use, we need an efficient way of charging the battery of electronic drives. A possible application of this method includes powering of swarm robots.

Abstract: Tracking of mobile node in WSNs (Wireless Sensor Networks) is an active topic of research and many techniques in WSNs have been proposed. Among the proposed techniques, the popular approach is RSS (Received Signal Strength) and is useful in estimating the distance because it is simple and no extra hardware is required. In this paper, a method that uses RSSI approach is presented to locate the position of mobile node (node that is moving in WSN in Static 2D and Dynamic 2D environment and are not aware of its position in the network) among the other Positioned Nodes or Anchor Nodes in the network. The distance between mobile node and the Anchor Node is estimated by measuring the RSSI (received signal strength indicator). Anchor Nodes are positioned at the vertices of square and mobile node is moving randomly inside the square. The goal is to track the location of mobile node by applying Heron’s Formula on the triangles formed inside the square.

K.POULOSE JACOB Assistant Professor, Department of Information Technology, Rajagiri School of Engineering & Technology, Cochin, India Associate Director, NPOL, DRDO, Cochin, India Director, Department of Computer Science, Cochin University of Science & Technology, Cochin, India
Abstract: With the increasing popularity of wireless network and its application, mobile ad-hoc networks (MANETS) emerged recently. MANET topology is highly dynamic in nature and nodes are highly mobile so that the rate of link failure is more in MANET. There is no central control over the nodes and the control is distributed among nodes and they can act as either router or source. MANTEs have been considered as isolated stand-alone network. Node can add or remove at any time and it is not infrastructure dependent. So at any time at any where the network can setup and a trouble free communication is possible. Due to more chances of link failures, collisions and transmission errors in MANET, the maintenance of network became costly. As per the study more frequent link failures became an important aspect of diminishing the performance of the network and also it is not predictable. The main objective of this paper is to study the route instability in AODV protocol and suggest a solution for improvement. This paper proposes a new approach to reduce the route failure by storing the alternate route in the intermediate nodes. In this algorithm intermediate nodes are also involved in the route discovery process. This reduces the route establishment overhead as well as the time to find the reroute when a link failure occurs.

ROSE ANN CYRIL Post Graduate Student, Department of Information Technology, Rajagiri School of Engineering & Technology, Kerala, India
Abstract: Internet has changed our lives. The multitude of applications that Internet offers demand better network resource utilizations. This paper aims to evaluate the performance of Protocol Independent Sparse Mode (PIM-SM) multicasting protocol over Multi-Protocol Label Switching (MPLS).MPLS is now the De-facto standard for many carrier and service provider networks. MPLS is a simple and flexible solution for multiservice networks. Labels used in MPLS network for forwarding and routing packets provide indices to the routing tables enhancing the speed requirements. Hierarchical Virtual channeling imparts scalability to the MPLS networks. MPLS and Multicasting are two complementary technologies. Merging of these two technologies put forwards an efficient networking scenario that delivers solution to scalability and control overhead problems. MPLS supports multicasting. This paper details the classical features of PIM-SM signaling over MPLS. The simulator used for performance evaluation is NS2.NS2 simulations presents a clear picture of the efficiency of presented protocol in terms of throughput and the control overhead.
Emergence of Challenge Mechanism in the Light of Existing Secure Routing Schemes in MANET
GEETHU BASTIAN, ARUN SOMAN Department of Information Technology, Rajagiri School of Engineering and Technology, Rajagiri valley, Cochin, India
Abstract: Mobile Ad-hoc Network (MANET) is a collection of mobile nodes which can form a network at any time and at anywhere. All nodes act as routers and help in forwarding data between any two. Security is a major concern in ad-hoc network. Due to frequent node movement, routing algorithms in wired network is not suitable for MANET. Several separate routing algorithms have been designed in MANET for data transfer. But the problem is due to the misbehaving nature of mobile nodes. If a node is of misbehaving nature, it can actively attack the network and also it will not use its own constrained resources for the use of others, but it will preserve them for itself. There are different security based routing schemes to prevent selfishness in MANET and thereby to make routing in ad-hoc network secure. They are Credit based, reputation based, Multipath Routing schemes, Cryptography based and Trust based schemes etc. This paper explores the concept of secure routing in ad-hoc network by preventing malicious nodes from routing using a mechanism called Challenge in FACES Algorithm and also to make a study of the existing secure routing schemes available in MANET.

Abstract: Prevention of security breaches completely using the existing security technologies is unrealistic. As a result, intrusion detection is an important component in network security. However, many current intrusion detection systems (IDSs) are signature-based systems, The signature based IDS also known as misuse detection looks for a specific signature to match, signalling an intrusion. Provided with the signatures or patterns, they can detect many or all known attack patterns, but they are of little use for as yet unknown attack methods. The rate of false positives is small to nil but these types of systems are poor at detecting new attacks, variations of known attacks or attacks that can be masked as normal behaviour. In this paper we evaluate the performance of various network based IDS technique and give a bird eye over existing IDS technique and their terminology.

Abstract: Image restoration is an important process in image processing. It is a process to recover image from distorted to its original image. The restoration of degraded images can be applied in many application areas that are needed to repair images. Image interpolation is one part of image restoration. There are different sources of noise in a digital image. For example, dark current noise is due to the thermally generated electrons at sensing sites; it is proportional to the exposure time and highly dependent on the sensor temperature.

Abstract: In wireless communication Multi Input Multi Output (MIMO) system increases the data rate and gives spacial diversity gain. MIMO in combination with Orthogonal Frequency Division Multiplexing (OFDM) becomes wideband transmission which enhances system capacity by resolving problem of Inter-Symbol Interference. Spacial diversity gain can be achieved by using space time block code without sacrificing bandwidth. In this paper, we proposed a Quasi-Orthogonal Space Time Block Code with Turbo Coding (QO-ST-TC) structure for MIMO-OFDM which gives full rate with coding gain. Also we have analysed QO-ST-TC for MIMO-OFDM over AWGN, Rayleigh and Rician channels and their effect on BER for high data rates have been presented. The simulation result shows QO-ST-TC for MIMO-OFDM system with 4X1 antenna configuration gives better performance in terms of BER.

Abstract: With the increase of data transmission and hence sources of noise and interference, engineers have been struggling with the demand for more efficient and reliable techniques for detecting and correcting errors in received data. Although several techniques and approaches have been proposed and applied in the last decade, data reliability in transmission is still a problem. In this report propose a high efficient combined error detection and correction technique based on the horizontal-vertical diagonal (HVD) parity check in HDLC. This method has been experimentally implemented and simulated using Field Programmable Gate Array .Simulation results show that the proposed technique detects 99.99% of the errors and corrects as predicted up to three bits of errors in the received impaired n-bit code. An independent design platform is utilized for the simulation by Xilinx 8.1 using ModelSim SE-EE 5.4a coded in VHDL which shows a significant reduction in uncorrected errors during data transmission. The efficient performance of HVD makes it a more applicable coding technique for communication, data transmission, different protocols and other application.

PINAKI BARMAN, MAMATHA.A M.Tech Student, CSE, East West Institute of Technology, Bangalore, India Assistant Professor, CSE, East West Institute of Technology, Bangalore, India
Abstract: Machine learning approach has got major importance when distribution of data is unknown. Classification of data from the data set arises some problem when distribution of data is unknown. Characterization of raw data relates to whether the data can take on only discrete values or whether the data is continuous. In real world application data drawn from non-stationary distribution, arise the problem of “concept drift” or “non-stationary learning”. Drifting of dataset is often associated with online learning scenario. There are several approaches to track the drift from the dataset; detection of drift has got major research attention. One of the problems of filtering is that it cannot detect concepts change or drift happens as time goes accurately. To deal with the concept drift this paper shows some results of different kind of approach for various kinds of datasets. Detection of drift works for two different levels; warning, and alarm level.

Abstract: Since appearance of cognitive radio systems, users „access to wireless communication systems has become based on certain constraints. In this paper we tried to minimize MAI caused by multiplexing users in DS- CDMA system. By applying interference limitation algorithm denoted by modified Greedy algorithm, number of activated users will vary at each signalling interval based on pre-determined interference threshold. Simulation of proposed cognitive CDMA system using software tools showed that acceptable bit error rate level could be obtained at receiving end at low value of signal- to- noise ratio when compared to traditional CDMA system without Greedy algorithm.
